Optimal Rebuilding Design Of The IP Metropolitan Area Network Carried IPTV

To develop the IPTV service is a useful strategy of fixed network operators and an important driving force of fixed network operators to implement strategic transformation successfully. IPTV can help fixed network operators to increase the ARPU and operating income, to break the computer, a bottleneck which restricts the development of the broadband and can help to retain customers, reduce losing rate, and expand new business, new revenue and new business model. However, it is the hot issue that how the operator can provide the IPTV service on the existing wide-band network and ensure the quality of IPTV without any effect on the existing service.Based on the analysis of IPTV Network's key technology the thesis points out the shortcomings of the existing IP MAN on the bandwidth, multicast and QoS. The thesis makes a deeper analysis from three aspects to the solution of optimizing and reconstructing current IP MAN:(1) As for the bandwidth, first, the author analyzes the requirement of the IPTV's bandwidth, then establishes a scientific traffic model and calculate the flow rate combining the typical net environment. (2) As for the multicast, the author elaborates the realization method of the multicast which be deployed on each layer of network. Above all, the author focuses on the selection for broadband access bed set sowing replication points. And the author compares the advantages and disadvantages among three species multicast replication modes. (3) As for the QoS, first three service models of QoS are compared.Combining existing IP MAN structure the author draw the conclusion that we should choose DiffServ model to deploy then the author discusses the policy and method of QoS which will be deployed on each layer of network in detail.Finally, under the proposed IP MAN Optimization transformation scheme, an operator of China's provinces IP MAN conduct pilot reform. At the same time, combining two typical IPTV services of the Live TV and VOD, the author makes a test about IP MAN key indicators after the transformation of the IPTV business, the results meets the need of IPTV business.
