The difference between domestic IPTV constructing ways and traditional ways challenges the IPTV service quality surveillance technology.This thesis analyzes the disparity between the existing IPTV service quality surveillance system and domestic IPTV surveillance requirement,and elaborates the IPTV service quality surveillance technologies.The solutions of surveillance system for IPTV service quality which adapts to the increasing domestic IPTV market are proposed to meet the Shanghai Telecom surveillance system for IPTV service quality project requirements.The distributed system in the proposed solutions is composed of a monitor center and several test points.Each test point consists of data collector,blade server,RAID.This architecture is suitable for the massive dataflow and the complex protocols of the IPTV network,and enables that the established system is scalable and adaptive.In order to grantee the reliability and accuracy of the proposed system results,the architecture of the IPTV system is analyzed and the component factors of IPTV service quality are summarized from multi-layers. Moreover,applicable indexes for each component factors are chosen based on constructing ways of domestic IPTV.Through the study of the essence of MDI algorithm and the principles of STB,the method which using the simulated protocols stacks is presented to solvethe calculation problem of the DF of VOD video stream during the test.The simulated protocols stacks adjust the arrival time of the video stream packets.The proposed surveillance system for IPTV service quality is able to locate the fault layer by layer according to the results of the analysis method for IPTV service quality.For the sake of assisting to analyze the causes of the fault and feel the real effect of the fault video stream, a mechanism of recurrence for fault video stream is proposed in this thesis. The mechanism records the time when each video packet arrives at the predefined test point,and adds the timestamp and the video packet into database.The real-time play is implemented by sending the fault video packet to player terminal.This ensures that the recurrence has the same effect as the original video stream.Finally,the effectiveness of the calculation method for the DF of VOD video stream and the mechanism of fault video stream recurrence are validated through simulation experiment.
