With IP-BRASed bearer services to accelerate the development of carrier-grade Ethernet has become a hot issue in the world of academia and engineering research. At present, the type of telecommunications network carrying business has shifted to the main form of packet traffic flow mainly from a time-division multiplexing. Under this change, how to choose the right carrier network technology, adapt the whole network IP trend, the data service provider and business fairly traditional circuit availability, efficiency and manageability of services, domestic and foreign operators are faced The problem. EPON access network BRASed on Ethernet technology form the now gradually use public networks to provide users with a stable and reliable broadband access services. However, in actual operations, because the lack of carrier-class technical support in the access network level, EPON series of problems still exist in carrier-class operations. In the field of access network, EPON equipment how to support Carrier Ethernet operations, the need for telecom operators, research appropriate system solutions and related key technologies, is the subject of great significance.This thesis aimed at "carrier-grade EPON deployment" and "multicast IPTV services achievement" of EPON network:"Carrier-grade EPON deployment" topic is from Nanjing Telecom EPON deployment practices project. The author participated in the Nanjing Telecom EPON access network deployment plan. On a series of problems of EPON access network encountered in the process of networking, he designed a general framework of EPON deployment, including:the transformation of the construction level of ONU, planning work of OLT regional; development and deployment of business-level on EPON business VLAN division scheme; planning and implementation of operating the EPON equipment and on the BRA Sis of development work with the system configuration. And then according to this framework design in details, and finally complete Nanjing Telecom EPON access network deployment.Researches on the problem of current network IPTV generate the "Multicast IPTV services achievement". In the EPON network high-bandwidth multi-service deployments, IPTV business is not only a new business emerged in recent years, but also a "triple play" critical business applications. Now the current access network equipment to support multicast service is poor, the technology programs of IPTV is not mature in the on-line multi-service EPON environment. This article will discuss this aspect, and it has proposed security management of a controllable IPTV multicast scheme in phrase.
