This thesis explains how to design a supervisory control system for reactors according to the technological demands of reactors. The design of hardware includes the main electrical circuit and the control electrical circuit, while the design of software means the PLC programming.The supervisory control system for reactors is founded by layers: the management level,the field-control level and the executors. The management level consists of IPCs(Industrial Personal Computer) which establish the human-computer interface with WinCC configuration software applying to Siemens PLC. The field-level consists of Siemens PLC which accomplishes data acquisition and executor control. The executors consist of some kinds of valves,pumps,electromotors etc completing control movements.In the front of this thesis it presents background knowledge of the PCS supervisory control system and technological demands of reactor control system. Then it emphasizes on the illustration of the hardware and software design of the reactor control system.
