This thesis originates in the teaching of the electronic and electrical laboratory in vocational middle school.The electronic experiment course in vocational school is strongly applied. While in recent years, its teaching is not entirely satisfactory because of many reasons. First, electronic course develops rapidly, while the contents of the electronic experiment fall behind and cannot put into practice what one has learned. Second, the present students in vocational school can hardly accept the traditional teaching model and the teaching result can seldom reach the expectations. Third, social development posts new challenges to the vocational education in request to educate applied talents with creative spirits. Consequently it is imminent to quest for a new teaching model of the electronic course in vocational school to fit for the current situation. This thesis summarizes the key problems and the executed procedures among the experimental course teaching in open laboratory by referring to many documents related to teaching methods, make a tentative study through teaching practice and make a further study from different levels.In order to inspire students'interests in electronic study and improve their manipulating ability, the author makes an attempt to build the open laboratory. In the thesis the author first analyzes the various problems in the electronic teaching, including the low utilization ratio of the electronic equipment, improper laboratory management and the disconnection between the experimental textbook and the real requirement. On the basis of constructive theory, pragmatism and situation learning theory, the author attempts to build laboratory to lower the cost of the construction and operation of the laboratory, and improves students'interests and learning efficiency, hence promotes the development of the electronic major. In the construction of the open laboratory, the author mainly discusses the function and wide scale of the electronic laboratory, the teaching method and management of open laboratory, the building of the experimental course and teaching staff, and the continuous development of the open laboratory. Then the author introduces the achieving process of the open laboratory in detail by taking the experiment courses of electronic technology in vocational school as an example.With the analysis of the students'features and request, the author makes a comprehensive discussion on the open laboratory from three different levels: theory study, technological method and application. With the usage of the open laboratory, the experimental effect of the electronic major rises to a new level.
