Secondary vocational schools are an important place to cultivate technical talents according to social needs, and the key of successfully cultivating these technical talents lies in construction quality and management level of laboratories. Secondary vocational schools, as educational institutions based on practice teaching, should pay more attention to construction and management of laboratories in schools. In view of low level of current domestic laboratory management and more and more refined division of labor, laboratory management is particularly important. In Jiangyang Secondary Vocational School of Luzhou, all professional laboratories are planned in a unified way and also a large amount of money is invested to purchase experimental equipment. With the increased amount of experimental equipment and more and more majors set up in the school, there is an extremely high difficulty in school management since a semi-manual record method is mainly employed for management in the school at present.Based on the survey on laboratories in Jiangyang Secondary Vocational School,this paper firstly performs an exhaustive and detailed analysis on their current management situation and requirements, finds out actual problems to be solved during management, works out and divides various functional modules, and pinpoints the appropriate management mode according to the actual condition of management, in order to complete the work of designing and building databases for a laboratory equipment management subsystem; secondly, this paper conducts a research on the various functional modules and then integrates them together to complete a detailed design of the architecture of the laboratory equipment management system in Jiangyang Secondary Vocational School, and also investigates the problems that are widely present in laboratory management of secondary vocational schools, such as great difficulty in resource sharing, low rate of utilization, rigid management, etc.; and finally, advanced concepts and information technologies in process management are introduced to the optimized management of laboratory management of secondary vocational schools,with an aim of establishing the own unique laboratory management system of Jiangyang Secondary Vocational School.In this paper, in combination with B/S mode and C/S mode, a hybrid architecturethat is set forth in campus network access, and the design, key design and programming technologies of this system, an object-oriented technology and a modular design method as well as advanced design concepts and software engineering methods are used to design and develop an information management system suitable for the laboratories of Jiangyang Secondary Vocational School according to the aspects of management in laboratories, such as equipment purchase, repair and discard, compensation, borrowing,returning, usage and the like, and this system is applied and further perfected in the laboratories of the major: Electronic Appliance Application and Repair in Jiangyang Secondary Vocational School, in order to solve the problems that currently exist in laboratory management of Jiangyang Secondary Vocational School and other vocational schools, such as low management level and working efficiency, lack of laboratory information sharing, and poor software extensibility and interoperability.
