Comparative Study On Textbook Publishing And Delivering System In China And The Usa

The enactment and application of the new curriculum norm turned over the new page of the basical education reformance in China. The original mode of the textbook publishing and delivering system can't satisfy the need of educational reformance and the developing demand of the time .As the major vector for curriculum ,textbook plays an important part in education reform. The country enacted a series of policies to improve the quality of the textbook , supervise the textbook publishing and delivering market , reform the system of textbook publishing within only several publishers and the delivering of textbook in the hands of xin hua bookstores . After breaking the original system , textbook publishing and delivering system authorized some right to the local government , however , because the system haven't completed , the provinces in China came across different problems during the practice.The thesis separately stated the textbook publishing and delivering system in Shandong province and the state of Florida ,as well as the problems emerged in these two places , then compared the systems with several latitudes.The thesis is divided into five parts :Part one: Introduction .It generally introduces the reasons for comparing the textbook publishing and delivering system in Shandong province with the state of Florida , then try to define the major concepts of the essay , like textbook , system , textbook publishing and delivering ,etc.Part two :The history of textbook publishing and delivering system in China and the USA.Part three : The thesis simply stated the reform background in Shandong province. Based on this, the thesis emphasized the textbook editing, bidding, government sourcing and delivering system as well as the problems, like administrative monopoly, mandatory for rent and the supervision in Shandong province.Part four: The thesis simply stated the textbook publishing and delivering system in the state of Florida from the latitudes of the textbook editing , bidding , promoting, funding and delivering, pointed out that textbook publishing and delivering system in Florida have problems like oligopolistic competition , the government and the special interest institute influence the textbook publishing and delivering system deeply.Part five :The thesis compared the textbook publishing and delivering system in Shandong province and the state of Florida from the latitudes of system vector, the practical environment of the system ,the supervision of the textbook publishing and delivering system as well as the sustainable development of textbook publishing and delivering organizations. Based on the comparison , the thesis tried to offer suggestions for textbook publishing and delivering system in Shandong province.
