The Research Of Textbook-topics And Publishing Project Management

This paper studies the basic theory of applying and publishing significant topics ofthe Ministry of Education, by utilization of project management in Higher PressEducation. This paper analyzes the project organization and management, the projectfeasibility studies and evaluation, the project planning and control, the projectprocurement and contract management, the project quality management and the projectrisk identification and application during the applying and publishing of the textbookstopics.Traditionally, publishing companies are not generally “project management”approach to business management. In recent years, with the implementation andcompletion of the conversion from the state-owned profit-oriented culturalorganizations into enterprises, valuing personnel training, and the backbone of thepublishing units receiving more knowledge of management disciplines, more and moreenterprises master the basic theory and methods of project management practitioners.Publishing unit enterprises become independent legal entities under the operation as acompany. Therefore, to achieve good social benefits and to pursue the maximum of theeconomic benefits, becomes the important issues that the enterprises have to face afterconversion. The applying and publishing of textbook topics of publishing houses has adistinct “project” feature. These internal and external conditions make it inevitable touse the basic project management theory and methods in applying and publishing thetopics of textbooks, which matches the use of project management topics ofManagement Press materials to the philosophy of the scientific enterprise reporting andpublishing work management. The application of project management basic theory andmethods in applying and publishing of textbooks topics by publishing enterprises isconducive to improve the management efficiency and supervision level of the enterprise,and to maximize the publishing business staff, financial, and material benefits, thereforefurther increase in the social and economic benefits is consequent.It is a fresh stab for publishing enterprises to utilize the basic project managementtheory and method in applying and publishing textbook topics. It helps to identify theeffects and defects of such attempts through the study. In the course of the study,“Pareto Chart” method,“Cause and Effect Chart” method of quality management theory and “Gannt Chart” method of project planning and control theory are used. In the casestudy process, in accordance with the order of the textbook topics planning, editing andpublishing of all aspects, the use of project management methods to analyze,argumentation and work practices prove project management theory and methods usedin the field of textbook publishing has important application value. It makes theorganization and management of applying and publishing of textbook topics and moreeffective, the objectives of the project clearer, in particular, the economic benefits of theproject can be directly reflected.
