The growing demand of mobile Internet and wireless multimedia applications has motivated the development of broadband access technologies in recent years. However, the existing technology in WiMAX is just used in the range of low frequency, and the high transmission rate is hard to achieve. To our best knowlegdement, millimeter wave carrier translation technology can be used to solve the problem between high transfer rate and coverage area.In this article we propose a novel system called Millimeter WiMAX technology, which is based on millimeter wave carrier translation technology. Our proposed system has modified the access network in the WiMAX and deployed it over fiber to achieve the high rate transmission. In the simulation, we realize our proposed system in two different representive modulation modes, and results show that it can achieve tremendous improvement. Moreover, we propose two Millimeter WiMAX system models, which can be respectively used in large-scale airport and intelligent transportation system.
