Maglev trains have the advantages of speed, good stability, less energy consumption, less maintenance, environmental protection and high security. The train-ground radio communication system of Maglev trains is the information exchange channel for trains and the ground control center. It is an important part of the train operation control system, and plays a role of operational control, traction control, system diagnostics, as well as voice and video communications data transmission. Based on the analysis of the maglev train wireless communications environment and the communication requirements, the paper mainly research on the ground base station antennas, which include the following aspects of work:1. Introduce maglev train wireless communications environment, analyze the frequencies used in wireless communication, as well as antenna gain, beam width, polarization forms of target requirements.2. Analyze the form and structure of the base station antenna in the maglev trains in communication system, propose two kinds of base station antenna design, and analyze and compare the two schemes, then decide which one to adopt.3. Based on the design scheme of the base station antenna adopted, analyze and design the horn, reflector, lens, and achieve circularly polarized radiation beam with width of three requirements. Use a combination method of software simulation and theoretical calculation. GO is used in theoretical calculation. As the antenna electrical dimension is large and complex, the step by step simulation method is used. Then analyze and design the stripes for producing circular polarization beam and reflector and lens for controlling the beam width of the elevation plane and the azimuth plane.4. Manufacture the base station antennas, and test.
