Research And Implement Of Modularization And Distributed Router's Control Pane

Because of the flexibility and high cost-effective, the modularization and distributed router has been a hot point in router research area while the data service have been increased exponentially and the hardware router has been updated inconveniently, and it has potential for a broad range of applications. The Click Module Route is a crucial technology on how to implement software route. The title of this paper is from a "973 project", and it has an important meaning both on theory and practice.Based on the research of router architecture, SNMP protocol and Click Modular Router, this paper discusses how to implement the control pane of modularization and distributed router implemented by Click. Because the Click System has a package about SNMP, this paper proposes a method which makes the operation in SNMP package integrally. According to that method, the management node and the agent node not only can use "Trap" operation, but also can use other four operations:Get-Request, Get-Next-Request, Set-Request, Get-Response.The result of this paper is an important complement to the SNMP package in Click Modular Router. Through the testing in actual environment, The method mentioned before has been verified to be effective and workable. The research fruits in this paper promote the research and development of Click Modular Router, and has a high reference value.
