Peer-to-Peer full sharing the information resources, processor resources, and storage resources through a direct interconnection, distributed search, high scalability, self-organization, robustness and high fault tolerance are features, with the improvement of the Internet, P2P applications have become the core of the Internet's largest application.One of the most important reason of the rapid development of P2P technology is that people's demand for data sharing, with popularity of mobile data services, demand for P2P sharing in mobile environment is attracting wide attentions, however, in the existing GSM/GRPS system, the true sense of the P2P can't be realized, because the network do not allow mobile terminals to become an independent terminal with a fixed IP, In the third generation communication system (3G), mobile terminal can be provided between the IP-based communications, a real sense of the mobile P2P can be achieved.IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) is a key technology of 3G, its core character use SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) to control the upper business conversation and has nothing to do with the access network, provide foundation of the development for the network to the full IP environment, moreover, from the perspective of operators, IMS is an effective solution to build a controlled P2P network, an effective means to the current P2P network occupied large of resources, This is beneficial to P2P technology in the future network.Conjunction with the national 863 project "A New Integration with Heterogeneous Characteristics of Peer Network Architecture", authors propose a P2P file-sharing IMS-based system architecture. The paper first analyzes the important position of current P2P technology in the the field of network communication and various structural advantages and disadvantages of P2P networks, compare different P2P algorithms performance, In addition, proposed the concept of combining P2P and IMS, analyse feasibility of combination of IMS and P2P technology. Finally, paper roposed a whole structure of P2P file-sharing based on the IMS system (IMS-based P2P File-sharing System, IPFS), build P2P overlay in the top of IMS, using a hybrid P2P network structure and Tapastry DHT algorithm, using SIP over P2P technology, and realize the system in IMS Integrated Development Environment SDS (Service Development Studio).
