Nowadays, the wave of mobile internet based on intelligent mobile terminals platforms are coming, and many kinds of new services and applications are coming out. This paper is about file-sharing software based on wireless Ad hoc network. This Ad hoc network has many advantages, for example no centers, built freely, low cost, well invulnerability, and applicable for some special scenes.The file-sharing software is similar to the usual BT software. The difference is that the former is running on Android mobile terminals. With the help of an open project Android-Tether on Google code, the former developer of the software has succeeded to change the terminal from common Wi-Fi mode to Ad hoc mode. It can forward data packages by AODV protocol to share files between users. The object of this paper is to go on developing more and optimizing.This development is based on two sides. The one is that the software is short of the function of files-searching. It is of great importance for users to find the files they need from a large amount of files quickly. But the software does not support this function. The other is that there is an information safety hidden danger behind the software. Considering the mobile terminals with some files about users’personal information, the users may be damaged from disclosing the information during the files sharing.During the development of file-searching module, this paper chooses some right metadata elements describing of files, then builds metadata databases for files. When other users search for some file, the software can inquiry the databases to help users find the files they need easily. In order to resolve the hidden danger of information safety, the software allows users to set three share-permissions to different kinds of files, restricts others to research and download some files about owners’ privacy, controls others accessing to owners’personal files. This will allow the users to manage their own files, increase the safety of the software and prevent personal files disclosure.
