With the rapid development of the mobile hardwares, mobile phones are no longer simply a tool which is only a call, but more close to the handheld computer. Among the various kinds of mobile phone entertainment, especially games, are increasingly rich. This is a treasury that hasn't been fully developed, and many world-renowned software companies have set foot in the field of mobile games. With Apple's App Store on the line, as well as other mobile phone manufacturers to follow, more and more individuals have joined the industry.This thesis is about the actual development of a mobile game "greedy fish". First, it introduces the actuality of the mobile game development and the features of the mobile games. Second, it describes the J2ME development environment and related technology. Third, it carries out the requirement analyse, system design, detail design, which includes the framework modules, scene modules, fish modules, map modules, effect modules, and writes the flow charts of those modules. Finally, it lists some important ui of the game, as well as the code interface of the important classes and the key algorithm.This game involves a variety technology, including the game framework, scene management, player logic, AI of enemies, map scrollment, particle systems, rms.And it takes the idea of modularization to guide development, so code can be reuse in other games. This game is just an experiment work, but if we refactor it, maybe an game engine will born. If we use more beautiful pictures, adding more levels, it will be a complete business work.
