With computer technology and the rapid development of network technology and popularization of information exchange and resource sharing network technology for promoting the great driving force, Web-based B / S architecture has become the preferred software architecture. Plant protection information system in Henan Province is established under the Science and Technology Agency project funding, and its purpose is to provide users with a convenient and quick access to key plant in Henan Province botanical specimens and related information electronic network platform. Purposes related to botanical specimens and plants in Henan Province's comprehensive and updated information for experts and general users to online searching; for the exchange and cooperation among the domestic counterparts to provide a platform, and to achieve the international standard; the provision of government and private conservation and plant diversity sustainable use of reference; promote plant in Henan Province modern management information and data building process.The system is based on WINDOWS + Apache + MySQL + PHP environment, B / S architecture, PHP is a server-side, cross-platform, Html embedded scripting language that can run on multiple platforms such as UNIX, LINUX, WINDOWS etc. 3 kind of operating system, enhanced portability, the system development work easier and efficient; with the world number one Apache use as a Web server, small, fast, low-cost MySQL relational database; and uses DIV + CSS layout to achieve a front page, while using the JavaScript language for Web page special effects added to make it beautiful.This paper described the background and significance of system development, then describes the system requirements analysis, system development environment and technology, system design, requirements analysis for the system design and implementation of a direction and goals. Among them, the System is divided into two parts front and back, the administrator through the back 98 in Henan Province to manage key protected plants, such as family, genus, species to add, modify and delete operations; the same time, ordinary review the user's message, if standard, interested in this web site, managed to reply, otherwise delete. As the website information is updated less frequently, using a static Web page technology, reception of information display, so that ordinary users do not need to connect the database to obtain information, greatly reducing the pressure on the server, increase server load capacity to provide substantial speed and open the page Open the speed of the whole site. The system includes an administrator module, information management modules, online message module, front display module installed module, keyword search module, for the future expansion of the system laid a solid foundation. Finally, the key technology used in this system, session, database backup and recovery, image upload function technique; and summarized and test system showed good stability of the system, web pages open faster.The system is scalable in the future can combine WEB-GIS (Geographic Information System Network) technology to achieve protection query the geographical distribution of plants.
