Research And Development Of Database Management System Of The Urinary System Tumors

Urinary tract tumors is a common tumor, although the incidence of the urinary system tumors in our country is relatively low. However, in recent years as people living habits changed, Urinary tract tumor incidence is increasing year by year. Therefore, Doing a good job in the prevention and treatment of urinary system tumors is of great significance. Western countries putting in a lot of human, material and financial resources to strengthen the basic and clinical research of the urinary system tumor, and made a great deal of research results, these results have played an important role in the national health policy, health insurance and clinical guideline. As a large amount of data is produced in the clinical work, in the United States and other Western countries, relevant departments collected information data at different levels for different purposes and made reservation plans and set up corresponding computer database management system. In the data processing, increased efficiency, reduced sample selection bias, and greatly facilitate the handling of statistics. In our country, because of a lack of similar system in the data processing, especially in teaching, scientific research, the establishment of the database management system is of great significance.From July 2006 to September 2008, I established a urologic oncology research database management system. for Tianjin Institute of Urology. The system includes prostate cancer, renal cell carcinoma and urothelial tumors as 3 sub-systems. Its applications and functional analysis made by the Tianjin Institute of Urology, which is a state-level key disciplines institute, on behalf of the domestic urology community development direction. By using the way of software engineering and the technology of Apache,PHP and MySql,we established easy-to-use, full-featured urologic oncology database management system that facilitate case information record, follow-up, as well as tissue and blood samples collection and provided a highly efficient and a quick work platform for teaching, research and clinical work. This paper is primarily about the design and development of that system. Firstly, the paper introduces the investigation background and meaning of this project, the development environment, and the several related technologies. Secondly, the paper describes some issues such as the system functional design, the system database design, the system implement and so on. Finally, the paper focuses on the discussion about the solution of a few key technical issues, which is explained with source program.
