In recent years, the rapid development of software testing technology greatly improves software quality and software reliability. With the innovation of software technology, the larger software scale and shorten the development period, traditional manual testing meets the huge challenge, and then the development of automation testing technology has contributed to the further development of testing industry. Although the strong third-party testing tool is used as a solution, in practice, it is difficult for enterprises to implement automated testing relying on a tool. By this time, it requires a complete and practical solution for automation testing, namely automation testing framework which become a more concerned issue of the current testing industry in order to achieve high-efficiency, high-quality software automation testing.First of all, the thesis introduces the background of subject, the present domestic and international current situation of the development, and then outlines the basic theory of automation testing. Subsequently it gives a research on the existed automation testing tools and classical automation testing framework. The study focuses on function testing of the modules in the tested pages of Web application system, so the paper proposes a function automation testing framework based on QTP. The framework, which mainly used in regression testing of Web Application software, is that it was again developed on the basis of the automated testing tool Quick Test Professional. Also, the framework makes use of a combination of object recognition technology, data-driven and keyword-driven technology. In the system, the framework was in charge for the operational level of testing, but testing tools and scripts were to perform other tasks. Combined with online billing system project on the telecommunications industry, the paper elaborates the specific implementation of the framework in accordance with the automation testing of processes, later draws a conclusion that it takes shorter time to improve work efficiency and achieve cost savings and the anticipated goal of the research.
