With the rapid development of network technique, Web is becoming popular all over the world because of its universal interaction, speed and convenience. It also has unfiltered in various application areas. Promoted by marketing requirement, the scale of Web application is extending and its complexity is increasing. How to ensure the correctness and reliability of Web application becomes more and more attentive. As an important means of assuring the quality and reliability of software, Web testing becomes an important part in software development process. So how to improve testing efficiency and start automation testing has became the challenge to each enterprise. But if the automation testing is not designed well, it will not only cost much, but also need software tester to do much more work to maintain testing scripts. While a well designed automation framework can decrease the cost of maintenance and improve testing efficiency. So it is significant to do researches on automation testing framework.At first, the thesis introduces the background of subject and current researching situation of software testing at home and abroad, and elaborates some knowledge about software testing and automation testing. Then the thesis analyzes the background of introducing automation testing framework and introduces five kinds of popular framework. Based on this, it proposes an automation testing framework based on Web functional - ATFWFT(Automation Testing Framework based-on Web Functional Testing) which is special for Web application and is based on testing library framework and data driven framework. Moreover, this thesis introduces the application of this framework in Web project. At the end, the thesis summarizes the main researched tasks and prospects the following work.
