As the amount of data in the Enterprise Business Support System continues to expand, how to improve the analysis decision-making ability of corporate and market responsiveness, how to put a lot of data into a reliable and useful information to help companies increase profits and market share, and use a uniform and easily accessible way to show decision makers, which has become a hot spot in the research of current Business Intelligence and Data Visualization.This dissertation describes the research and development of Business Intelligence and Data Visualization, combined the display tools, the display structure and display forms in Data Visualization, draw two implementation modes of Data Visualization in Business Intelligence: Data Access Interface and Business Intelligence Portal. Papers by comparison of two modes, combined with Microsoft's BI platform and its own characteristics, respectively construct a set of application framework model MOSS-based Business Intelligence Portal and a set of application framework model XMLA-based Data Access Interface.According to the customer segmentation data mining needs, two kinds of application framework models are applied to the Telecommunication Business Decision-making System. In the system design, combined with the definition of operational issues and system-building goals, propose a multi-layered and open system architecture based on Microsoft's BI platform. In the system implementation, through the XMLA provides Data Access Interface technology, achieve the function that client does not need to load the dynamic library in Data Warehouse when the client attempts to visit the model. Through the MOSS platform provides Excel Services technology, resolve the issues of MOSS and Excel integration on data connection, computing interface and Excel Web display, as well as through the SQL Server 2005 plug-in technology, resolve the interface problem of Analysis Service and Excel integration, and ultimately achieve the mining model's graphical display.Empirical studies have shown that the methodology of Data Access Interface based on XMLA and the methodology of Business Intelligence Portal based on MOSS are entirely feasible. In the application architecture, two kinds of methodology not only eliminates the issues that the traditional Data Access Interface is too dependent on the hardware platform, programming languages and model interface, but also makes the key technologies in Business Intelligence and Enterprise Information Portal can be seamlessly integrated.
