Research On Data Visualization In B/S And Apply To Business Intelligence

As data visualization is increasingly applied to information systems, application programs become easier to use and more apprehensible. But different fields'data visualization is different, charts always combined with fields'data. Charts can't be seperated from fields, which results in a great deal of repeated work. Programmers have to spend a lot of time to write program if they use traditional visualization method programming. Aiming at this problem, this paper makes efforts on resolving visual mapping problem, which is the key problem of data visualization, and puts forword a implement method. Based on this, this paper develop a general statistic chart display system, which can display data flexible and create chart's program automatically. In the last, the system is applied to business intelligence field to display data.Firstly, this paper researches on implement methods of data visualization, analyses visual reference model, points out the key problem of data visualization development process, builds mathematic model and works out solution.Secondly, this paper researches on key technologies related with statistic chart display system. It includes analysing general methods of chart display and methods of describing chart. As a result,we choose JfreeChart to implement chart display function and XML to describe chart.Thirdly, this paper designs and implements the general statistic chart display system. It includes chart s data source module, charts show module, charts describe and process module, visual mapping module, chart factory module, chart reedit and program download module.Finally, this paper applies general statistc chart display system to business intelligence field.The system displays commercial data, automatically creates code for KnowIT's chart display module,which largely enhanced efficiency of KnowIT's chart display module.
