Semiconductor light-emitting diode (LED) use semiconductor chips as light emitting materials, which optical conversion efficiency is higher in energy conservation. It is used in landscape lighting, direct lighting, backlight, general lighting and other fields. With the LED manufacturing costs decline and technological breakthroughs, the advantages of LED lighting market in the increasingly obvious. It will gradually replace incandescent and fluorescent lighting into the general area.In this paper, large-scale LED lighting system is mainly used to display real-time video or pictures and other content, in real time and high rate higher technical requirements. And DVI-Interface video processor is the heart of the system control unit, which is responsible for communication between computer and distributor, including communication of DVI interface, USB interface and Gigabit Ethernet interface. And it requires high-speed data processing capabilities, to meet the requirements of real-time playback video.The system is based on the original line of small-scale LED control system design. It uses more efficient data storage and upgrades Fast Ethernet to Gigabit Ethernet, which greatly increases the pixel size and frame frequency. This major work includes:1. According to functional requirements and technical characteristics of large-scale LED lighting system, design a LED lighting control system architecture based on DVI Interface.2. Analysis of communication protocols between the various components of the system and design DVI-Interface video processor computer terminal communication protocol.3. Hardware circuit design and implementation, including FPGA module circuits, Gigabit Ethernet interface circuits, data storage module circuit and the system power supply circuits.4. Design and implementation of the master program module framework and modules layered of FPGA module and complete module design and simulation procedures, including image data processing module and the core processing module design.5. Performance analysis of video processor and estimates related to performance. The content of this research is the needed technology in development of the domestic LED lighting system. To some extent, the development of the project enhances the competitiveness of enterprises and promotes the development of new industries.
