With the rapid growth of mobile business in china, the competition among mobile carriers is getting more and more fiercely. Business and Operation Support System (BOSS) as the core business system is playing more and more important role, which provides the supporting of the mobile core business. Aligning with the strategy of whole enterprise business improvement, China Mobile put forward the plan of constructing the future-oriented New Generation Business and Operation Support System (NGBOSS). In this plan, China Mobile re-designed the system architecture of BOSS; it will decouple the functions of Customer Relation Management (CRM) from original functions of BOSS vertically, thereby will separate the functions of front stage of marketing, sales, and services and so on from the functions of backend stage of billing, accounting, and services provision and so on. This enhances the system flexibility and elasticity greatly. Facing this great change of system architecture, the recharge function as the key business function, has an unavoidable problem need to be solved in the construction of NGBOSS, which is how to meet the functional requirement of supporting multi-brands flexibly and non-functional requirement of supporting the heavy concurrent transaction. This article will discuss the detailed solution of the design and implement of NGBOSS-Oriented recharge gateway associated with the practical experience by five parts step by step, which are:The first part, the recharge gateway is protocol-oriented transaction gateway, the article will start with analyzing the characteristics of this type gateway, and use the methods of comparison and Step-By-Step to investigate and research the related technologies that need to be used in the system construction.The second part, the article designs the typical business scenario by analyzing business functional requirement and non functional requirement respectively.The third part, the article describes the system design of business requirement, which will use the advanced Object-Oriented Analysis and Design method. It will make the internal functions of recharge gateway high abstract and componentization; thereby it will adapt the variable business changes by the customized configuration, such as supporting multi-protocols and multi-routes of recharging, and so on.The fourth part, Based on the system design, the article will discuss the implementing and testing of recharge gateway, mainly describe the methods of implementing ant testing.The fifth part, the article will analyze the results of implement, compare the advantages with shortages, and propose the improvement ideas.Currently, the solution in this article has been carried on in BMCC BOSS phase III successfully. From the running results of more than 6 months after going to live, the solution took the practical test and worked well. It not only support the recharge business pressure from millions end users, but also use the flexible configuration function to adapt the subsequent business improvement requirement. But since the functions in the system operation aspects were not considered adequately, a large room of it to improve still exists.
