College Enrollment System Based On The J2EE Platform And Mobile Phone Short Message Service

Since 2000, in order to enroll online, the college enrollment has been used the network of remote enrollment software developed for Ministry of Edution by Tsinghua University, enrollment becomes easy and increases its transparency. However, the processing task after enrollment has not been reduced, though the software provides the ability to print the Admission Notice, the print format cannot meet the requirements of most colleges, and the management of students registration has not been easy.With the development of computers and network technology, and the popularization of wireless communication network, it has been a useful method to take mobile phone platform to publish enrollment information and make real-time communication between the college and students available to solve the problem. With the enrollment auxiliary system based on WEB and SMS, we can enroll in an efficient, scientific, objective and impartial way, which makes enrollment management modern, networking, electronic, and informative.The task of this subject:Through WEB and SMS inquiries, regulate the release of enrollment information to some extent; reduce the workload of enrollment management and work intensity; improve the efficiency of admission-related departments, reduce the faults raising by the traditional notice issuing form; with this service platform, provide good enrollment information society services; promptly publish important information to students; assist students to get multi-ways review; and provide effective security access mechanism. Therefore, this article bases on J2EE technology architecture design, and achieves integrated applications of SMS platform in admission and registration process.The system provides SMS search on admission information, new students management, new students information search online, customized group SMS, black shielding, SMS search on registration record, multi-users rights management, etc. The system can check the college admission and registration record review, provides a more efficient and effective service for colleges and students. The main advantage of this system is that, basing on B/S mode structure of Enrollment Management Information System, it can exchange data with the "National Common Admission Online System", support admission decision analysis, recommend students tracking management, and new student registration information. The enrollment information release system based on B/S mode structure can publish dynamic enrollment information at the first time, the ones who concerned can make inquiry. The system not only achieves the networking of enrollment information management, but also provides timely, complete enrollment information for students, simplifies the workload, reduces the cost for school to release the information, provides a new operation platform for students and college.
