As Internet infiltrates every corner of people's daily life, the users desire fast, reliable, high quality and secure network services more and more. In order to realize this objective, we have to administrate the network effectively. Through this way, we can keep the network running normally, also can reduce or avoid expense result from network fault.Measure and control of net flow plays a very important part in the course of network administration. Effective administration of network can give administrator the running state of network. What's more important, administrators can adjust strategy according the information to remove the network error. Usually, measure and control of net flow is composed of three parts:flow collection, flow analysis, flow control. A perfect net flow measure and control system must contain the three parts mentioned above. In this paper, firstly introduces the common methods and theory of net flow measure and control; secondly describes the structure and functions of the net flow measure and control system developed by our laboratory which is based on hardware probe, and dicusses the technology involved in the system, including Network Processor, FPGA, CAM and Hashing; thirdly gives the function of CPU Control Board which I have implemented and is used in the system, the selection of CPU chip in the Board and the overall hardware design and interface design of the Board; finally introduce the porting process of U-Boot to the CPU Control Board, including the analysis of U-Boot startup, the building of the cross-compile environment and the porting and compiling of U-Boot code, etc.
