Design And Implementation Of A Software Testing Management Platform Based On Eclipse RCP

Software testing is one of the import means to ensure the quality of the software product. In order to help test managers to construct testing system, standardize testing procedures, guide testing execution for testers, software testing has become one indispensable part of software development life cycle.At present, with the rapid development of the software industry scale and software system has expanded quickly, the software quality is becoming more and more important, the traditional testing management tools due to its closure, they cannot adapt to current software requirements and often only focus on one part of the life cycle of testing, how to effectively achieve the test tools interaction of different phases of the life cycle has already become the focus of attention. Therefore, we design and implement one open, extensible software testing management platform.This system based on Eclipse Rich Client Platform. And it is based on components development, which greatly improves the development mode of the platform expansibility. The whole system is made up of three parts as the project management subsystem, test case management subsystem, test plan management subsystem and so on. They basically covered all aspects of life cycle of testing. At the same time, in order to realize the integration with testing platforms which has been used, I have designed and implemented an automation data synchronization module, through this module, it can make testers can not confined to choose this platform, they can choose previous test management platform such as QC (Quality Center), this module provide a function to make sure the data integrity.This paper also discusses the OSGi framework which based on Java component development mode, and reconstruct the wide application of web development framework to be standalone component, fully provide the function out of the box, they also raises the theoretical value for this paper.
