The research background of this article is the technology of propagation model calibration used in the wireless network planning and optimization, aiming to achieve the propagation model calibration algorithm and reflect the importance of propagation model and calibration algorithm in wireless network planning and optimization, so as to guide the engineering practice based on the analyze of calibration results.The basic knowledge of wireless network planning and optimization is firstly introduced in the paper, mainly including its importance, principle and goals, process and content, as well as the key technologies used in it. By talking about the prediction of path loss, propagation model, including its related concepts and classification, is described, and then several classical empirical and semi-empirical models are introduced. And then, for the limitation of empirical and semi-empirical models, the calibration of propagation model is put forward, and its classic algorithm and implementation process are briefly introduced.The main method used is to achieve propagation model calibration algorithm through programming and study and analyze the results worked out by the algorithm, include the achievement of calibration algorithm process, the output of results, the evaluation of results, the analyze of algorithm efficiency and etc. According to the research and analyze of the results, advices is put forward to the Standard Propagation Model calibration.Of all those above, the algorithm achieved is not the classical algorithm, but a simpler one which does not affect the results of the analysis of algorithms according to feasibility study of data and information in hands. The filter of data section reflects the different ways in dealing with general and special data. Geographic-based display module fully takes the user's experience into account which is totally in full compliance with the requirements and trends of modern programming.
