The research on the interface and video of embedded products have become more and more popular.This paper mainly introduce that using S3C2410 as the hardware platform and embedded Linux as the operating system to research the driver development and application development, driver development was mainly the development of chips for HD7279.Embedded Linux is a system including Linux kernel,associated development tools and application and so on.Because Linux is open source,Programmers can easily get Liunx Development Kitfrom the network,Which contains the Linux kernel, cross-compiler environment, library functions and file systems.Although Windows platform has rich graphical interface,Support the Linux graphical interface system is not a lot of.The MiniGUI, which is the open source Linux graphical user interface,is developped by our Nationals,the open source Linux graphical user interface.MiniGUI is in the form of GPL released,popularly used in communications, medical, set-top boxes and other places.And MiniGUI become more perfect, more powerful functionality now.So this topic chooses MiniGUI as Linux interface system.MPlayer is the most powerful video playback in Linux.MPlayer supports a number of encoder,can play lmost all formats of video such as ASF/WMV,QT/MOV,FLI and so on. It aslo can play the AVI without the avifile Library.The application development focuses on the interface of MiniGUI and Mplayer on the embedded LINUX system.In this paper, it deeply introduce how to customize Linux kernel and File System.
