Image of the country is the country's objective state of public opinion in the projection, which is the public impression of the country, opinions, attitudes, assessment of comprehensive reflection of the public has the feeling of the country and will combined. Good image of the country is a country extremely important "intangible assets", which not only can enhance self-confidence and cohesion of its people, but also can improve the Government's handling of domestic and foreign affairs capacity, enhance its international influence. Image of the country is an important social issue that after the 17th National Congress of Communist Party of China , the building of a harmonious society and the context of reform and opening up again, after several years of accumulation formed. In establishing a national image of China in the process of external, foreign media play an important role.In the past, as external communication channels blocked, which has a huge difference in the system and the culture between China and the Western, Western media reports often wearing "colored glasses" on views of China, China's international image through the media "mysterious" and "demonized" stage now, "the rise of China", the "China threat theory" in the international public opinion occupy a major position. In recent years, online media flourishing because of advances in technology, the international community more understand China. In particular the successful staging of the 2008 Olympic Games and the Olympic-related reports international mainstream media have a profound impact study for China's national image and has important practical significance. Based on the traditional Western newspaper "The Times" reports related to China after the Olympic Games empirical analysis to explore the post-Olympic era in China, foreign media reports on what changes, their causes and background of profound changes of any contact made after Olympic Games China to seize the opportunity to make western media more comprehensive and objective reports on China to create a positive national image.
