In recent years,the booming globalization of information and Internet technique make it possible to exchange information fleetly in the traditional mechanical manufacture industry. CAD technology based on network was emerged as the times require under this background, using networked CAD makes designer and enterprise broke geographic location limit, achieved sharing and communion of information.The thesis discussed the research status and trend of network CAD, identified the content of paper for research, compared the structure of system between traditional CAD system and CAD system based on network, confirmed the system structure of paper, discussed distributed system structure base on Web, distributed subassembly technology, application exploitation technology of system Web server, production modeling, etc key technologies related to network CAD design system. Innovative viewpoint is: Firstly, establish the model of system exploitation combined C/S with B/S. Secondly, apply the sense of knowledge engineering to network CAD system. Thirdly, secondary development based on UG software, finish the design of the system.Researches on ActiveX component and configuration modeling technology by knowledge driven concretely,realize the function of update model,choose UG as the platform of server,using VC++ made development through external mode,combine with ActiveX component research realization process of these key technologies deeply,innovation of this paper is apply the theory of KBE to networked CAD,On this platform,we develop the virtual reality technology on Internet by using VRML(virtual reality modeling language)and so on. Using Web release technology of CAD graphics and Socket transmission mechanism, it realizes the graphical interactivity in the web.Combine CAD technology with network technology; take partial parts of drive system of marine diesel engine for example. Under C/S and B/S framework, practice key technology touch upon networked CAD. The system which I developed has been passed test in local area network. Application example indication: networked CAD has excellent maneuverability and highly practical value, combines Internet with CAD availably, achieved the aim of research.
