With the rapid development of digital television, the broadcast system of our TV stations has been fully updated to digital TV broadcasting system. But the broadcast safety work is staying in the traditional way of screen monitor. This article describes a monitor system which I participate in it. The system is designed to provide a new digital monitoring system.This article first introduces the requirement of digital TV monitor in broadcast and TV industry. According to the design team for many years of work experience, come up with a comprehensive solution to digital TV safety broadcast monitoring of digital television monitoring system. In the monitoring system I major monitoring hardware design work. The hardware is based on a embedded platform, and using FPGA to implement the asynchronous serial interface, which is the most commonly used in digital TV broadcasting. And focus on the practical application of the device environment, I designed a CPCI architecture chassis for multi-module assemblies, hot plug capable, as well as redundancy power. This article describes how to choose the solutions of chassis and hardware devices, and the issue considered in the hardware design process, and gave details of the hardware monitoring equipment program. Then the article describes the circuit design and FPGA design, provides detailed information about the design process, lists the problems and solutions during the debugging. According to the design requirement, test the important function of monitoring equipment with software, and give the actual test results.In order to realize the practical application of results, this article uses a practical television station project as an example, simply describes how the monitoring equipment and system software achieve the TV station's demand for the entire television broadcast system monitoring.In the end, after a period of research, I found out that monitoring system only apply to a common interface is unable to meet the requirement. So I have already begun preparations for different digital TV standard interface monitoring equipment R & D work to improve the monitoring system.
