QCS014 hydraulic test stand in the training center of Lianyuan steel group was controlled by relay-contactor. In this way, the control loops were single.Its power lost much. It was in a low degree of automation. And it was difficult to maintenance.To solve the problems, a new control scheme is presented based on old hydraulic test stand. New test stand is combined with PLC control,inspection technologies, hydraulic control and WinCC configuration technology effectively. It has been redevelop-ment, based on retaining the removability of the components.It achieves real-time monitoring of hydraulic procedure parameters.The principle of hydraulic transmission is described in this paper. The present situation of the current hydraulic test stand is presented. According to the design requirements, an on-line monitoring system was built, in which PLC was the lower computer, PC was the host computer. The design of the hardware, the programming of the PLC software and WinCC configuration were discussed in this paper. Meanwhile, the signal acquisition and data transmission between PLC and PC,PLC and the field device were designed. The displacement and pressure analog were transferred to system.Limit switch was changed to proximity switch. A hydraulic circuit animated picture was designed. Every experiment can be controlled by four kinds of mode,such as manual,single cycle, continuous cycle and time control.In the system, PLC communicated with the site control device by PROFIBUS-DP network. PC communicated with PLC by MPI network. When using WinCC and STEP together, the information of alarm, trend and archive can be collected easily.The improved hydraulic test stand is a merging of technical, operational,practical and research. It has been put into teaching. It runs stably, and it is easy to control.The test stand reaches a high degree of automation. And it implements the design purposes.It is a perfect combination of machine, electricity and liquid. The test stand provides a good platform for teaching. It has a good value.
