First,this paper briefly introduces present conditions about digital simulation of hydropower station ,then ulteriorly points out the new trend of modern simulation system.after that. It contains graphical automatic modeling system with high open,accurate model software and algorithms software. In the paper, modular modeling was adopted in order to improve its versatility,maintainability and expandability.the paper introduces mathematical models of hydraulic and electrical system .As we know,the hydraulic system is a very complex nonlinear system.Dynamic models Based on simulink including hydralc turbine,conduit and hydro-generators are studied in detail. This paper is focused on the development of the non-linear simulation model, and linear simulation model using least square method to calculate the transfer function using the field test data. Compared the result of the field test and simulink test,Two types models of tuebine regulation system was estabised using on little and large fluctuation transition process . The simulation results are compared with those obtained by the field tests and show good agreements. The simulation and analysis results indicat that the simulation model of Geheyan water power station frequency control system are accurate. modularizion method based on hydropower plant simulation are focused in this paper .
