With the computer, network and information technology applying to medical science, a new and developing marginal subject, Medical Informatics, gradually appears. Hospital Information System, HIS for short, has been generally acknowledged as an important branch of Medical Informatics in the medical field. In the HIS it is very important of the developing of the MIS (Medical Information System).From the international information trend, we introduce the basic concept of the MIS. Then we introduce the research result and applied actuality of the MIS all over the world. We analyze the MIS's characteristic and the meaning of applying the MIS. At last, we analyze the MIS's actuality and problem of applying the MIS in China. We synthetically introduce the MIS system's design and the pivotal technology of realizing the system.As HIS (Hospital Information System) increasingly become larger and more complicated, the conventional software development approaches are difficult to improve the software development efficiency to meet the further user's requirement. The framework is an important software reuse mode, which enables reuse of both code and more important architecture design. Therefore, application development based on the framework is far more likely to improve the software development efficiency. This framework is based on the research of the design pattern and framework theories, combined with.NET technology.We begin with the system's requirement of hospital and business flow. Using UML modeling technique, we design the system's user case diagram, and collaboration diagram. Then we divide the system into various functional sub-modules. Through the analysis of the system data flow diagram, we establish the system's E-R model, and use the model to map the real-world's entities into tables of the relational database.We design the system's class diagram, and implement all subsystems. Then we introduce the system's network topologic structure and running environment of the software and hardware.Finally, we conclude the paper, and suggest for the further extension of the system and make a primary exploration.
