RFID is a new kind of auto-identification technology that deserves great potential. This new technology, by radio frequency that makes possible two-way data communication without direct contact, can recognize targets and claim relevant information. Because of its outstanding advantages and decreasing cost of its products, RFID witnesses increasingly extensive use in the area of Industrial Automation, Commercial Automation, Transportation and Control Management.This project aims at using RFID to design and establish an effective military firearm management system, which have great significance in terms of enhancing the level of military firearm management.First, this paper systematic introduces the automatic identification technology, the present study and development of RFID and management technology of firearms, then analyzes the basic operating principle of RFID. On this basis, the paper have a in-depth study of software and hardware workflow of the RFID application system.Secondly, this paper analyses the interface protocol of RFID system, and study and simulate the UHF RFID systems in data transmission encoding, channel anti-interference ability, verification methods, as well as reader and electronic tags by the software of Simulink. The simulation results meet the system requirements.Third, in line with ISO/ISE18000 international standards, this paper designs the reader and electronic tags of UHF Type B RFID systems, which are simulated by ADS Simulation and Multisim Simulation. The simulation results are consistent with standard protocols. At last, according to the demand of firearm management system, this paper proposes 3-level authorization model to manage firearm and designs the software of firearm management system. In addition, this paper uses MSComm ActiveX to design communication module, which realizes the communication between management software and RFID hardware.
