The Research And Design Of BPM Platform Based On Rule Engine

With China's accession to WTO, Chinese enterprises are facing competitive pressure from foreign enterprises, through the implementation of enterprise informationization, it could strengthen the management of efficiency and lower operating costs for our native enterprise, especially the small and medium enterprise, and greatly improve their competitiveness, promote economic development in China.Many multinational corporations now rely on network and application systems, rules, tools services and other factors to eliminate the traditional boundaries of organization and establish collaborative relationships between organizations, then making it a great commercial appeal of the project. BPM technology is one of them. BPM represents Business Process Management, it means a comprehensive management method which base on management theory, establish on business process reengineering, component-based, enterprise application integration, B2B e-commerce and collaborative commerce.The paper based on Rule Engine, designed and researched a business process management platform based on rule engine, and then built two functional modules on the platform to manage business process:Travel & Expense module, E-Procurement module. The main component of the paper includes the following:1. We design and implement a business process management platform based on rule engine. Explain the designing principles and technology of various components of the platform in detail.2. We research in detail the theory of BPM; analyze some particular business of current number of enterprises in our country. For their management status, cost status and existed problems,using BPM to analyze the business and business process reengineering above, making business process more compact, reasonable, low-cost, in the end, we implement the process on the platform system.3. We introduced in detail how to use rule engine technology to make up the shortage of traditional BPM system's development. Design and implement the component of rule engine of the platform, describe the principle, working mechanism. 4. We give a developing method based on rule engine, through comparing to other traditional developing method for telling its advantages.5. We give an example of using business process management based on rule engine.In general, the business process management platform based on rule engine can not only greatly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business management of the enterprise but also reduce business costs.
