The Study Of The International Communication Situation And Development Of Television English News In China

In the current context of globalization of information, external communication of mass media is a country to advance its internationalization process, establish a national image, an important means to enhance its international status. Since twenty-first century, China's English-language media has entered a stage of rapid development, CCTV-International Channel (CCTV-9) as the representative of the television media in the international media structure play an important role. However, for a long time, East and West have serious imbalances in the exchange of information transmission, a small number of state-controlled by the Western world's"information source"has dominated the world for China's views and recognize, China's external communication due to a late start, and long-term influence by"foreign propaganda"thinking, communication concepts, technology requirements and mode of administration is relatively backward, bring China's own voice hardly through effective route of transmission to every corner of the world. In this paper pass through the study of CCTV's English Channel, try to find more effective ways to improve English-language news media of China's TV transmission standard.This paper is divided into six parts. The first section of the introduction describing the background and significance of research projects, followed by an overview of the external communication of China's TV media present situation and the significance of China's TV external communication. The second section is external communication and its related basic theory of the general analysis, such as international communications, external communication and cross-cultural communication, provides a solid theoretical basis for further study of this paper. In this paper, an analysis of the current international situation external communication has played an important functions, including service on its own national interests, is an important political and diplomatic means of a country, is an integral part of an independent sovereign state, or an important factor affecting international public opinion, and can effectively promote their country's image building. In the third section, this article expatiated the development of China's TV English news, and analyzed English international channel of China Central Television (CCTV-9) from the TV channel function, program resources, and viewing patterns and audience. In the fourth section, this study of English TV news in China's external communication situation: first of all from the political, economic, and cultural and communication point of view expounded China's TV English-language news media currently facing the international communication of the environment, followed by English-language news on China's TV faced by a broad and complex analysis of the characteristics of an international audience. In this chapter of the CCTV international channel in English the international communication of analysis, this article adopted a data collection method and questionnaire survey method, analyzed the English-language news program content as well as international audiences, and draw an international audience research report, evaluated CCTV international channel in English from three aspects of the recognition, credibility and the audience look forward to program content. In the fifth part, analyzed the English-language international channel developments, including the strengthening of front-line reports, efforts to play down the official colors, focus on reports of "people-oriented" and the strengthening of the international audience research. Finally some conclusions to this article are summarized and forecast the development of China's English language television news.
