Study On Supervision By Public Opinion Of "Freezing Point Commentary"

In China, the review has arisen since the early of the 20th century. After booming twice, it becomes still again. In 1998, The China Youth Daily started a column named"Freezing Point Commentary", taking the lead in using the review. By using it, The China Youth Daily attached importance to the supervisory function of the media, which ignited for the third time a wave of commentary in domestic newspapers and the thriving of supervision by public opinion. Therefore,"Freezing Point Commentary"becomes the representative of the third wave of commentary and the pillar of supervision by public opinion. From the composition, its subject, object and value orientation have accurate and reasonable division. From the characteristic,"Freezing Point Commentary"stresses overall supervision, multiple supervision, rational supervision and supervision according to law. It builds its own system of supervision by public opinion and dimension of space, thus forming its own distinctive features. Meanwhile, there are some deviations in its composition of its writers, cognition of the facts and operation of academic standard. This paper put forward counter measures accordingly.
