This article is a based application research supported by"the research of the monitoring system of Gujiao groundwater information"project from Gujiao Water Resources OfficeGroundwater is an important natural resource. Since the beginning of the new century,Extraction of groundwater has increased 2.5 billion cubic meters every year . This resource ensures rapid economic development and the steady improvement of people's lives. But it has suffered severe damage. As an example of Gujiao, there are many scattered coal mines, coking plants and coal cleaning plants in this city. In the last decade, groundwater level decreases significantly. Gujiao is one of the cities, whose groundwater was over-exploredThis paper has designed a monitoring system of groundwater information, token six groundwater monitoring stations of those factories in Gujiao, referred to main technologies about monitoring system of groundwater information, adopted MSP430 microprocessor technology, GPRS mobile communicating technology and so on. At first, this paper introduces the research background and the meaning, the present international status of the monitoring system of groundwater information and the common sensor of groundwater information. And then it discusses the whole design of the system which including the total framework, the operating principle and the main function of the system. Then the hardware design and the software design of monitoring terminal are described in detail. And this paper designed an unique method of data transmission for many scattered monitoring stations, and describes specific communication protocol. Afterwards the debugging and application of the system are given, and the analysis and the summarize aim at some problems appearing during the debugging and application process are discussed. Finally the paper summarizes the characteristics of the system and the problem which should be solved next step .The system has been used in practice. Through the application result , the system operates stably , reliably, and it has reached the predictive demand.
