Water level monitoring is widely used in electric power, urban water supply and drainage, light industry, chemical industry and many other fields, and played an important role in social life. With the development of science and technology, computers, microelectronics, and many other advanced technologies are used in water monitoring technology, the water level monitoring systems are moving in the digital, intelligent, network-oriented direction developing.As information and network technology development, more and more of the industrial site of the transmission control process parameters using field bus technology, due to its superior performance CAN bus has been widely adopted. This paper proposed and designed a water level monitoring system which based on CAN bus and real-time embedded operating systemμC/OS-II. CAN bus is a high secrecy and high anti-interference ability, to effectively support the distributed control and real-time control of the serial communication network. As a communication network, using CAN bus can improve security and reliability. Software platform using the free preemptive kernelμC/OS-II, real-time help to improve process and product scalability.On the basis of researching and analyzing present domestic and foreign water level monitoring methods, this paper combining with improvements of water level monitoring system in laboratory first summarizes the main research contents and then shows the whole design scheme and the module design ideas of the emdedded water level monitoring system based on a large number of references. After analyzed ahead&back system and multi-task system, system adopted the embedded real-time operating systemμC/OS-II and finishedμC/OS-II transplantation on the LPC2368, and then transplanted CAN bus intoμC/OS-II based on the technology specification of CAN bus. System hardwares include data sampling circuit design, memory circuit design, LCD circuit design, CAN bus interface circuit design, power circuit design and system low power design. Software designs include monitoring terminal software design, PC management software design and design of CAN communication protocol. Monitoring terminal software completes the initialization ofμC/OS-II operating system. Analysis the timing of FM24CL64, TLC3574 and CAN controller is for designing device driver. The paper combined with the functions of monitor terminal finishs the application design. In addition, PC software is written by kingview software while adopting ZOPC-Server realizes the communication between PC and CAN bus. Finally, the paper introduces system application debugging and reviews the whole system.The water level monitoring system which is designed by the issue, achieved the network centralized management in a water level monitoring. With the characteristics of Real-time, stability, security, reliability, versatility and scalability, etc.Had reference value on the industrial field control system.
