Research On The Impact Factors Of China's Trade In Books Copyright

With the rise of knowledge-based economy in Mid-20th century, books copyright became an important resource, appearing in the field of international trade. Since China entered in Universal Copyright Convention and signed the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works in 1992, trade in books copyright became more active and the total amount multiplied. As one of the development priorities of going-out strategy, China's trade in books copyright has experienced the historical transformation from passive to active and the export part has been gradually concerned. However, the condition of late start, immature development and some other objective problems are having the bad impact on the trade balance and health. So, how to boost the China's trade in books copyright has became an urging issue to solve.Thesis carried out researches in the following areas:Firstly, the current problems such as Significant unflavored balance of trade, disorderly competition in the market of China's trade in books copyright were brought up from total amount, geographic orientation and some others angels. Secondly, based on the analysis of main problems, economic level, cultural difference and some other impact factors were raised and by factor analysis, four main factors were concluded, which were level of economics, education, development of book publishing Industry and cultural difference. Thirdly, by regression analysis of four factors, a conclusion was drawn, which showed level of economics, education and development of book publishing industry have the significant positive effects on the China's trade in books copyright while cultural difference has the significant negative effect.Based on reality, this research laid a certain foundation with innovation for the study on trade in books copyright in China. Theoretically, the impact factors on China's trade in books copyright were summarized while practically, policy recommendations were raised based on the conclusions of theoretical and empirical research.
