With the improvement of China’s international status, more and more foreigners begin to pay attention to China. Inevitably, reading Chinese books is a good choice. In this way, their reading needs stimulate China’s books copyright export. Meanwhile, books copyright export is pushing Chinese publishing industry to develop further and further. So, regarding to consumer market and the industry development, books copyright cannot but exporting.The author analyzes current status of Chinese books copyright export making use of amounts of figures and forms, exact references, practical and history research, comparative study, case study and so on in five chapters. What is more, this thesis is a synthetical study, which contains publishing, journalism, intercultural communication, etc. At last, the author arrives at the conclusion that if we combine the effort of government, the publishing enterprises, publishers and copyright agents as well as focus on the brand and quality of Chinese books, we will have a brilliant prospect of Chinese books copyright export.This thesis is divided into seven parts, including six chapters and one epilogue. Chapter one elaborates the present situation of copyright export researching in academe at home and abroad. Besides, this part also introduces the main idea, the research methods and the theories. Chapter two distinguishes some conceptions about books copyright export and shows books copyright export play important parts in economy, politics and culture. Chapter three introduces the elements of books copyright export. The most important step is engineering. The next step is market researching and adaptive resources choosing. By all kinds of export channels, the books copyright export finally comes into true. Chapter four discusses books copyright export from2001to2010. In these ten years, Chinese books copyright export has come to the top. A truth not to be ignored, the trade deficit still exists in the books copyright commerce. Chapter five uses the successful experience of English, America and Japan for reference. Although each of these countries has their own features in publishing, but they share some common traits, such as government supporting, copyright export stratagems formulating, excellent specialist of copyright export, and so on. Chapter six sets out the chances and challenges of books copyright export in current situation. Based on above analysis, the author brings forward all-round suggestions. The epilogue points out some shortages in this thesis. As a result of some impersonal reasons, the author failed to get all essential data and the thesis does not come down to the E-books’copyright.
