Simulation and efficiency evaluation of maritime radar system is a kind of integrated research which is prior. The scheme argumentation and performance evaluation of maritime radar system are accomplished efficiently by simulation of maritime radar system, shorten designing period and reduced development cost, and thus maritime radar system can be optimum designed conveniently and efficiently.The paper analyses and researches the efficiency evaluation of the maritime radar by radar functional simulation and coherent video simulation. Using MATLAB and C++ program language, first the function of the target environment and radar signal processing are programmed. The simulation GUI is made by VC++ and the programmed function is used to develop coherent video frequency and functional simulation software of maritime radar system. The maritime radar established in the software, the signal waveform of target echo, which is processed by IQ sample, pulse compression, moving target detecting (MTD), and constant false alarm (CFAR), could be displayed. While the functional simulation of maritime radar system is finished by the software, measurement error and the detection probability is analyzed and diplayed with the arget environments under chaff jamer see clutter and multipath. At last the paper give a method of coherent video simulation validating the functional simulation, using the result of coherent video simulation as benchmark to revise the wastage gene of the functional simulation, so the precision of the functional simulation is improving and more conductive to the projects.The software made in this paper is not restricted by the support of simulation software, it could be used widely. And the sub-function programmed in the software could be transplant easily, and provide good foundation for simulation and application of radar system.
