Simulation and efficiency evaluation of maritime radar system is a kind of integrated research which is prior. The scheme argumentation and performance evaluation of maritime radar system are accomplished efficiently by simulation of maritime radar system, shorten designing period and reduced development cost, and thus maritime radar system can be optimum designed conveniently and efficiently.Using MATLAB and C++ program language, first the function of the target environment and radar signal processing are programmed. The simulation GUI is made by VC++ and the programmed function is used to develop coherent video frequency simulation software of maritime radar system. The maritime radar established in the software takes two-dimensional PD radar as an example, with the parameter of radar and target environment set, point target could be searched and tracked, trajectory information could be shown both in PPI GUI and data output GUI, the signal waveform of target echo, which is processed by IQ sample, pulse compression, moving target indicator (MTI), moving target detecting (MTD), and constant false alarm (CFAR), could be displayed. While the simulation of maritime radar system is finished by the software, the detection and counter-jam efficiency of maritime radar is analyzed, it's very significant to statistically analyze the measurement precision and the detection probability to find out the maximal detectable distance of the maritime radar.The software made in this paper is not restricted by the support of simulation software, it could be used widely. And the sub-function programmed in the software could be transplant easily, and provide good foundation for simulation and application of radar system.
