The Design And Implementation For Simulation System Of Coherent Radar Target

The simulation system of coherent radar target has an important role in the development process of modern radar system, which is a subsystem generating the target signal. Coherent model of extended target is more suitable for modern radar system than the point target model, although its implementation is more complicated. So the research of implementation method and the software design of extended target simulation system have significant value on both of theory and application.In this paper, it discusses the model of extended target radar echo signal, explains the method of real-time reconstruction of extended target radar echo signal and designs the extended target simulation algorithm. In addition, it talks about the operating principle of coherent expansion radar target simulation system on the basis of the target simulation theory. According to the characteristics of broadband phase target, a method to realize the target simulation system is rendered, which bases on digital RF storage technology (DRFM).Base on the design example of extended target simulation system, the text talks about the system's hardware and software deeply. First of all, the paper expresses the design technique of simulation system and analyzes the real-time problems. The real-time reflective memory network-based platform for target simulation system is also designed and implemented. Then discusses in detail about extended target software design and various functional modules of software implementations in the article. At last, combining with some typical targets, the article expounds the extended target simulation experiment. In the process of designing and debugging the system software, it realized the automate calibration of RF output power in simulation system, and improves the system accuracy, and shortens the progress of system development effectively.Via system debugging and experimental validation, the coherent radar target simulation system and its software which are studied in this paper meet the requirements of the RF simulation system and experiment.
