In Radar system, Clutters from land and sea and so on are always seriously affecting the performance of Radar, as a result, clutter compression is very important to the capability improvement of Radar. In Radar signal processing theory, the two important clutter compression technology are Moving Target Indication (MTI) and Moving Target Detection (MTD).By introducing various kinds of clutters in Radar circumstance and their impact on Radar performance, the paper firstly presents the importance of Clutter Compression. Then it deduces the two important Clutter Compression technology in Radar signal processing theory: Moving Target Indication (MTI) and Moving Target Detection (MTD), integrated with the arithmetic principle and the application, then presents some Matlab simulation results based on the practical data. Secondly the paper covers the course of the Radar Signal Processor, what's more is some methods and experience of the system designing,programme compiling,programme optimizing and debugging. Finally combining with the practical data analyzing, the comparison with the results that from Matlab, this paper arrives the conclusion that the Clutter Compression of the Radar Signal Processor is feasible.
