| Ever since the creation of the television, it quickly invaded and occupied peoples'majority leisure time with one kind of mysteriously charm. As if it was like an Aladdin's lamp, giving out vibrant and colorful lights, filled the sight of the people with all kinds of strange and unusual images, Which attracts and locked people in front of TV screen. With the visual culture on it's road and the sudden appearance of electronic media that sprung up everywhere, does it means that Miller's worries about the "literary end" of Time is already coming? Does it mean that we have already stepped into the era that focuses on sense organ simulation, image worship visual culture time?Currently we are facing Images versus Languages War, a fact that we can't deny. Movie, television, advertisement, animation, games, photography makes the phantom of which or the images emerges one after another incessantly. That conquered unceasingly and even insults the writing. We are surrounded by various types of images'mark. With it, cultural and educational functions of television declining, overtakes by more powerful features of television entertainment. In this context, the traditional literary reading is also relatively isolated. In the point of traditional view generally believed that, Reading is a serious and elegant personal activity, but watching television should be easy, enjoying or treated as leisure activities individually or in groups. Therefore, under the combination of these two studies, television programs that produced have been controversial.An interesting phenomenon is:The electronic media was often considered that is direct cause of the reading rates drop. And with its formidable penetrability, the social position actually in turn becomes the help and advancement of text reading powerful weapon. The literature and electronic media's fusion also becomes one irreversible counter-tendency during dispute. The television reading program is precisely arises during this historic moment.The Chinese television reading program has produces more than ten years until now. During this period, there are ups and downs, once bustling everywhere is nothing but short-lived. Various stations struggle to promote television reading program, but within several years it discontinues.Till now, with only a few programs left, it forms a sharp comparison between the overseas television reading program's success and popularity.Why does the television reading program suffer downfall repeatedly in China's development? Why similar programs yield so different results? Is the program quality or the different system cause so? This question is worth television media person to consider seriously, and it is also the core topic which this research will discuss.In this study, it reflects the television reading program system and research on foreign television industry study based on the course of program development. Using Phoenix TV's "8 Minutes Reading" and CCTV's "Diary Reading" (considering the revision part) TV programs as the representatives for this case study.From the point of view of sociology vision, it discuss the context of the survival programs, program text, narrative patterns and strategies with in-depth analysis. That attributed to the current study which shows the development of China's television dilemma. On this basis, the author has tried to read our country's TV shows to draw on a number of development proposals.In particular, this thesis consists of:Introduction that describes the origins of this thesis research, tidying the scholars' research study on television programs and the remaining problems that still exist. It also describes the present thesis research methods and innovations.The first chapter carries on to China's television study shows the development process current situation should be straightened out, and to introduce some of the classical abroad programs, that simultaneously analyzed the reason which and the survival social linguistic environment the Chinese television reading program produces.The second chapter goes on to "8 Minutes reading" and "Diary Reading" content analysis to explore the theme settings, part positioning, programs style as well as the narrative technique and so on. Through the combination of quantitative and qualitative approach, a comprehensive analysis of production of the program philosophy and analyzes in-depth limitation that unable to overcome.The third chapter using survey questionnaires and in depth interviews with audience, as the sociology research methods, it discuss the social impact of television reading program and the actual dissemination of results from the perspective of the audiences. Due to the impact of social environment influence, current program cannot satisfy audiences'anticipation field of vision and so on, are the primary cause of current television studying program having unsatisfactory results.The fourth chapter analyzes the main complexities and problems at present on the premise of having inspected on the whole the deep-level interrelationship and the realistic social meaning among the reading programs, besides this, the chapter also offers the analysis of some feasibility countermeasures of TV reading programs'outlet.Concluding section of the paper was reviewed and summarized. Concise description are done to show the significance and values of research At the same time in the course of this research, methods and results of analysis based on the reflection of the shortcomings of this study. Finally, the author studied the development of television to show some trend analysis and prospects. |
