The Design And Development Of Public-Travel Traffic Information Service Sketch Map

As the public's demon for travel is vigorous increasingly, the Chinese traffic department organize Traffic Information Demonstration Project in five provinces to supply convenient and perfect traffic information services for public. Public-travel Traffic Information Service System is an important part of Traffic Information Demonstration Project, and the Public-travel Information Sketch Map module in the system has become a bright spot with the rich, simple, intuitive, fast and other features for displaying traffic service information. So developing a reasonable-frame and high-performance public-travel information sketch map module is the key to success in building the entire system.This paper analyzes the defects of sketch map module in serveral province public-travel traffic information service system, and designs and develops a new public-travel information sketch map module on the basis of studying map cache technology, open-source WebGIS client framework, Ajax technology etc. The client-side use OpenLayers technology to showing sketch map and feature points. The Server-side realize pyramid map tiles cache based on TileCache technology. The feature points use Ajax technology for the client and the server's asynchronous communication. And the entire sketch map module has a good structure and user experience. The main work in this paper goes as follows:1. Study a variety of popular WebGIS development technology. Then compare and select key technologies for the use of sketch map module.2. Analyze the business needs of public-travel information sketch map module, and design the sketch map architecture and functions base on the whole system architecture.3. Base on user needs, design the sketch map functional process, such as sketch map display and maintenance, feature points maintenance, legends maintenance. And design the sketch map cache, resource integration program, data model.4. Introduce the application of particular development technology, and the system deployment and implementation. At last, summarize the results of the work, and look ahead the future work.
