In recent years, with the development of the image processing technology, more and more image information is applied to industrial automation and other areas. At the same time the rapid development of integrated circuits, makes single board computer processing power has been greatly improved. In particular, as represented by floating point DSP processor performance considerably improved. Embedded image processing systems have the potential to achieve. This paper proposes how to build an embedded image processing platform based on a TI's DSP chip TMS320DM642, and test the application in the bottle detection.This paper first describes the traditional characteristics of the image processing system, and analyze the characteristics of DSP chip and its system is proposed based on TI's TMS320DM642 chip embedded TMS320C64X series of image processing platform ideas to overcome the traditional PC-based model The image processing system weaknesses and improve the system's real-time performance, the maximum possible cost reduction, and strengthening the system of intellectual property protection.The system's main work includes image trigger, acquisition, processing, and image transmission into a single PCB board, with video interface chips and programmable logic arrays SAA7111A system front-end FPGA implementation of image acquisition and image output control, various types of commonly used DSP algorithms design, high-capacity system, FLASH and SDRAM so that the system can be applied to a variety of applications. The main work and innovation are the following sections.(1) Embedded system circuit is designed of each functional module. Throughout the system, including video capture part of the master chip DM642, and some peripheral circuits, memory cells in part (including FLASH, SDRAM, dual-port RAM, etc.), and the FPGA part.
