The Design Of Video Image Processing System And Study Of Algorithm Based On FPGA

With the rapid development of electronic technology and computer technology, video image processing technology is constantly advancing and improving,and the applications of video image processing are continuously expanded and extended. Currently,due to the features,such as large capacity,high speed,low power,low cost, high integration,short development cycle,and so on,FPGA (Filed Programmable Gate Array)plays an increasingly important role in the video image processing.This paper mainly introduces a kind of design of video image processing system based on FPGA,achieves the functions including image acquisition,storage,display and transmission,etc.and does some research on the image algorithm.The system consists of video image acquisition module,video image storage module,video image display module,video image transmission module and associated configuration circuit modules,etc.The acquisition part completes the reception of the analog video signals from CCD camera,and outputs the digital video signals through the video decoder chip SAA7113;Storage part completes the frame buffer of the image data in the SRAM memory,in order to prepare the back-end image processing;Display part completes the read-out of the image data from the memory,outputs the analog video signals through the video encoder chip SAA7121,and displays image on the CRT monitors;Transmission part completes the transmission of the video signal from the memory to the PC,through the RS232 serial port,and receives data by the serial port debugging software.The system makes full use of FPGA's internal resources, without additional memory and single chip micyoco,could achieve high-speed and real-time image processing.The design is developed in the QuartusⅡsoftware platform,and is run in the Red Cyclone Series development board (RCⅡ-CY1C6),achieved a complete set of video image processing system.
