The information released by China Internet Network Information Center in January 2010 shows: the size of China's mobile phone users increased by 120 million, reaching 233 million people, accounting for 60.8% of the total network users. The 30.7 million internet users which only used the mobile phones ,accounting for 8% of Internet users. Huge mobile phone users drive the new growth of network users. The read of mobile phone reach up to the second place the proportion of users accounted for 75.4% of the overall mobile phone users. Mobile phone news sites, mobile phone novels, newspaper and other mobile phone business has become an impact on mobile phone users as one of the most important applications. These data are strong evidence of mobile media of mass communication function is increasingly becoming a popular and valuable study. At first mobile media is communication tool, as technology support and the needs of people's lives, The media is experiencing a gradual shift from interpersonal communication tool to the mass media ,transformed into an integrated media. Such a media development process is different from other traditional media's, so the media of mass communication function of mobile phones is based on the perfert interpersonal communication function. We should pay special attention on how to convert interpersonal communication energy into the driving force of mass communication. All the new media are going through a process of continuous development and improvement process, especially mobile media. The integration of all aspects is the basis of media industry; at the same time, we should be clear aware of that the mobile media will not replace traditional media, at this stage, mobile media is only the complementary media .The development of mass communication function is still in initial stage, mobile phone should learn a lesson from the traditional mass media, in the integration process for development. This paper attempts to make mobile phone as the research object to explore the medium of mass communication at this stage, and how to make the mass communication functions better.
